Book Review

Overall

This book had me wondering why I ever bothered with online dating when I could have just joined my local birdwatching community and snagged myself a sexy lumberjack woodworking boyfriend. Talk about a missed opportunity!

"Birding with Benefits" is a delightfully quirky romance that caught me off guard—I mean, who knew birding could be so romantic? I devoured this book in just a few sittings; it's the kind of easy romance you can't put down, perfect for lounging on the beach with a cold drink in hand.

What really stole the show for me were the characters. No mysterious CEOs sweeping anyone off their feet here—instead, we have Celeste, the eternal optimist ready to dive headfirst into any adventure, and John, the quiet, thoughtful type who probably knows the scientific name of every bird in a fifty-mile radius. They're like the odd couple of the birding world, and you can't help but root for them to figure things out as you follow their journey.
